Julia teaches voice and songwriting to students of all ages and abilities online and in-person.

Julia is passionate about working with students to spark joy, self-expression and confidence. Her goal is for her students to foster a love of music and creativity and to carry the skills and joy that discovering their artistry brings them into all aspects of their life.

Songwriting

Julia is a songwriter of pop and musical theatre music. She is passionate about guiding students to bring their songs to life from initial spark, to their full form. She works with students beginner to advanced on discovering their songwriting voice and guiding on lyric writing, melody, harmony, and song structure.

Musical Theatre/Audition Prep

Julia brings her experience as a performer and composer of musical theatre to help her students prepare their musical theatre auditions, including:

  • Audition Technique & Coaching

  • Song Analysis

  • Acting through Song

  • Mindfulness Techniques

Voice

Julia is passionate about helping her students discover their unique voice and express themselves through the joy that singing brings. One-on-one private lessons and coaching include:

  • Building a repertoire of songs

  • Developing healthy vocal technique

  • Strengthening vocal range and ability to sing across genres

  • Breathwork and physical awareness

  • Building a strong, authentic sound

  • Song interpretation and intention
